Simple side dishes are essential for holidays and for weeknight meals.
The Instant Pot is one of the most useful tools in the kitchen for many reasons. It is quick and easy to use, and it doesn’t interrupt your stovetop or oven while you make multiple dishes.
This is why it’s the ideal vessel to cook in during holidays, when the oven is full. These Instant Pot Carrots can be used as a side dish for a turkey or chocolate pecan pie.
You only need to add a few ingredients to your Instant Pot, and just 4 minutes to pressure cook. These delicious carrots are easy to make, but they taste great! This is a win-win situation!

How to Make Instant Pot Honey Glazed Carrots
Step 1: Add Ingredients to Instant Pot
In the Instant Pot, add the carrots, water, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg. To coat the carrots, gently stir.
Step 2: Pressure Cook
Secure the Instant Pot with a lid and ensure that the valve is set to “sealing.” Cook on manual high pressure for 6 minutes. After the timer goes off, turn the valve carefully to do a quick release of the pressure.
Step 3: Serve
After the pin has dropped, remove the lid. Then, spoon the carrots, along with the amount of liquid you prefer into a bowl. Drizzle some honey over the carrots, and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley. Serve warm.
Recipe Tips and Notes
- When the carrots have been cooked, there will be liquid in your Instant Pot. It’s very flavorful, so you can use it to baste the carrots before you serve them.
