However, the most popular combination is usually the cold cuts.
Since the pandemic started, there has been a lot of time to be more creative in the kitchen. You do not need to make elaborate dishes that take a lot of time to cook and plate. Instead, it can just be simple dishes you crave that require only pantry ingredients. And today’s recipe’s key ingredient is tuna.
Tuna can be prepared in any way you want. To make tuna salad to go with your crackers, all you need is mayo, a bit of salt and pepper, and lemon juice. However, for this Vietnamese banh mi, the tuna is seasoned with Asian flavors.
It is seasoned with sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, and minced garlic to get that garlic soy flavor. Slice open the banh mi. Then, spread mayonnaise on one side, and drizzle soy sauce on the other. Add sliced jalapenos, julienned cucumbers, carrots, and cilantro to garnish the sandwich.
How to Make Vietnamese Style Tuna Banh Mi
These sandwiches are full of flavor, but the fresh herbs and vegetables keep them refreshing. They are easy to prepare, delicious, and great for quick meals. Also, these are perfect for those banh mi cravings!
Add tuna, soy sauce, finely minced garlic, granulated sugar, and sesame oil to a medium-sized bowl. Then, mix everything until well combined. You can also add finely diced Thai chili peppers for a spicy kick. Put aside.
