I was in Bulgaria visiting relatives and I wonder the reason there are so few real soup recipes on this website–the kind that evolve every day from whatever is fresh and available?
Yes, there are endless soup recipes cooked in Bulgarian homes, and we are glad you had the opportunity to taste few of them. Of course, first of all – not every meal you can taste here (or anywhere in the world) is traditional. And secondly – as this site is not a recipe bank, but more like ‘virtual’ kitchen of ours, we post only recipes that we like, cook, photograph and eat by our own. We definitely will continue posting traditional Bulgarian recipes, as we believe our Balkan cuisine is interesting, healthy and satisfying, so you can come back soon, or even suggest which particular recipe you would like to see here.

I was wondering what the name was of the organ (‘haggis’ like) soup that’s served in traditional Bulgarian cuisine?
